Botox in HK
Posted by Purdey (771 days ago)
I watched "10 years younger" on BBC Prime yesterday .... and would like to find out about Botox in HK ? Anyone tried it here and where ? Any other botox-virgins want to ?
Apparently uptake amongst men in the UK is increasing fast (according to the programme) and if they can stand the pain, so can I !

my friend from England did it two weeks ago, she has it done at a beauty salon call "Dream Face" in Kowloon. She's now look much younger and these only cost HK$4800 for forehead and eyes area, also a bonus free facial.
The phone number (Salon ) is 34279901
Hope you'll look younger soon.

Dear Purdey,
I would be a bit suspicious of bblu's recommendation. As most people know, once you have Botox w needles done, you cannot have a facial for the next 48 - 72 hrs. So I would be careful going to these beauty salons that use these promotions are a ploy to entice customers.

Agree with Giesel, no facial after. You can try FMH. they advertise on this website, they have botox, and a very similar product called dysport, same thing as botox, and they also offer a ''free'' top up, if you are not happy with the results. Have to say, beware you are on a slippery slope, as in, once you do it, you will keep going back for more.... coz you will look so good ! good luck !

I wonder, Sandiexxx do you work for FMH?
I've seen you post the exact same quote promoting FMH.
I think a more unbiased quote would be most appreciated than overly promoting this spa.
Purdey other botox products on the market are
Dr brandt - HN
Botocare - HN
Strivectin - LC
BOTOLINUM injectn- dermatologist in Central (Prince's building, BOA tower etc)
hope this helps

FMH are so expensive, I'd love to hear from anyone who knows a cheaper place.

Dr Kenneth Hui is a reputable cosmetic surgeon. Cost is a little less than $4K for a vial (usually enough for eyes and between the brows). You may of course find it cheaper in HK but there are so many dodgy places in HK that the government is considering tighter restrictions and licensing for beauty salons. I know what I would prefer.
Details for Dr Hui are:
Room 2210 Bank of America Tower
12 Harcourt Rd
Central, Hong Kong
Tel: 25237690

Claire - have you had anything done at Dr. Hui's? Do you personally recommend him? Thanks!

I want to have botox done under the arms this summer as I sweat so much and it is so embarassing to go around with wet shirts under arms pits even if I wear a Tshirt under it goes through. Anyone tried it before? Dont feel as scared as ruining my face so yes would go for a cheaper place.

please all, if you want to get botox, please get it done by a doctor. There have been reports of facial paralysis and worse due to botched up botox in the US. Be sure to ask to see the vial of botox they are using as there is currently only 1 licensed/genuine botox producer.

Thanks all of you. Reckon I'll go for an intial consultation with Dr Hui as it's near work, but I also got this back from Allergan on experienced HK botox injectors:
Dr. Francis Ho ( Tel: 25302211)
Dr. Ho Wai Sun ( Tel: 25225660 )
Dr. Henry Chan ( Tel: 21099999 )
Dr. Tinny Ho ( Tel: 29011281 )
I am going to check that if once you start you cannot stop (physically rather than emotionally) because if that's the case, I won't start !
If Dr Hui is good I'll post a note.
Cheers

Yes I have personally used Dr Hui for botox and mole removal, as have a few friends.
A gentle, soft-spoken doctor who usually runs late as he likes to take time with his patients, such as to explain things. This is not something I mind as I would rather see a doctor like that than one who treats patients like they are on a conveyer belt or who objects when a patient "dares" to ask questions.

I have personally used Dr. Lauren Bramley for botox, I believe she is less expensive than the prices mentioned, but I'm not quite sure as it depends on what exactly is done. I'm absolutely delighted with my results and recommend her without qualification. And no, I don't work for her. Although if she'd give me free treatments, I would. : )

Hi rachael,
Have heard very good things about Dr. Bramley. Do you think you could give me her number, I would like to have a chemical peel/dermabrasion done, and would like her opinion. Thanks

What about Restylane vs Botox?
(I am based in Hong Kong)
Posted by sandiexxxx (591 days ago)
two different things, Restylane is hyaulonic acid, and botox is from the botulism strain. Restylane will ''fill in lines'' and plump out the skin, Botox freezes the lines. Check with Dr. to see what you actually require.

Dr Brian Walker ,a good expat GP does Botox too Princes Building.
Warning: it is an expensive habit and yes you will want more when it wears off (c.4 months)and you can frown, see lines again.
No it isn't dangerous in this instance, thats because you are going to a proper dr ....and no facials after or heavy exercise.

Can I admit to having botox? I read up, spoke to people and thought I'd give it a go....It was amazing. I was really concerned about droopy eyelids and maybe a frozen look but that didn't happen. My frown lines disappeared even though the doctor didn't think they would!! I had my crows feet done too but it was the frown line that I was delighted with. Dr Image in CWB...excellent service and not the hard sell at all. It will last about 4 months and although cost $4000 in total I thought it was well worth it and would definitely top it up. It has really given me an added self confidence and I think that is really important. I'll happily any questions if you're considering it ( and I don't have personal links to any drs!!)

Does Botox help with droopy eyelids? As I get older, my eyes look "sleepier". Will this help?
(I am based in Hong Kong)
Posted by gwern (553 days ago)
I don't know if it would work on droopy eyelids. The people at Dr Image would definitely help and I really don't believe they would push something that didn't work. They may also be able to offer an alternative treatment.

Hi rachaelhk,
Can you please provide with Dr Bramley contact no. thanks alot.......

Botox can cause a bit of drooping if you are relaxing a frown line. Your eyebrows drop a little and thus the skin folds a little lower.
I did botox only once for a small frown line and won't do it there again but I'd like to try it on my jaw line.

thanks for the infor. do you recommend a particular doctor in Dr. Image for botox?

I have had 2 different doctors and to be honest both were nice and both professional. I can honestly say that I feels so much better without that worry furrow which no expensive creams were going to get rid of!
