Does anyone know where I can find redken shampoo and conditioner in HK?

Granite,
its hit and miss for Redkin here in HK, also be aware that Loreal bought Redkin out over ten years ago when I was with them. They did so to upgrade their development department and therefore have used much of the same technology as Redkin and at times even surpassed their brand. Let me know if you need any further input, Redkins main issue here is that I do not believe they have distribution. One other source is to use an online retailer or wholesaler there are many available. I am right in that area if you need me to take you by. Good luck...chears

Granite,
its very similar technology and to be honest I am giving it another go myself and they do have some great stuff. Just let me know what you are trying to accomplish and I will suggest something for you, or you can stop by...cheers

Well for me, i would never use L'oreal purely becasue they do all their testing on animals dispite weather they are good or not.

Hey,
is that where my hamster went I thought his fur looked a bit fluffier??? D-man, you do have a point, thats why I like Phyto and Rene Furterer. Its hard when companies say they don't test on animals but the people they buy their ingredients from do. I won't mention that other so called Organic line out there. Thats why people need to look into if they are worried about this type of thing, do some research. Thanks for a great point and for reminding me, being in HK you kind of loose track of things. As for my hamster he's pulled through and looks pretty good but I really think the perm could have been left out...cheers.

Hi,
Definitely won't use Loreal then. Can either of you recommend a product that will smooth down flyaway fine hair that frizzes up easily in the humidity? It also has a habit of getting lank with super heavy products like kerastase. Problem hair I know!
Thanks.

Granite, i am sorry to say there is nothing out there that can give you any long term solution. There are some light anti-frizz products that do not weigh the hair down but with the humidity in HK they only help for so long. Fudge defrizz is pretty good as its light in consistancy but you need (like many of these products) to use it sparingly. Often these fly away hairs react to static as well as the humidity and the static can come from, drying, clothing and even physical contact (nothing wrong with that kind of electricity). Depending on how wild your hair gets you could even consider having a relaxer or jap straighten or rebonding (how ever u want to name it) to help give it lasting control.
One thing is to have a great cut and style that works best with your hair and lifestyle.

Granite,
If you look back over the past questions you will find some tips concerning your issue.
I have detailed the benefits of a true reconditioning system and would suggest you look into a program. I am writing a page for my site on this because there seems to be so many misconceptions. Just think of hair like a piece of wood, its very poris and fibrous and if unfinished and unsealed moisture will attack attack it and cause damage. A true reconditioning system effectively rebuilds the protein bonds, adds the necessary moisture then seals the hair. This protects it from the elements and maintains the shine and elasticity. This process is the foundation for all we do to hair because without balanced porosity and elasticity anything else you do is wasted. In a city like HK you are in constant competition with the elements so maintenance is essential. I cannot cover everything here so please go to my sight and read the pages pertaining to these issues such as the one on humidity, Conditioning, Steaming etc. I will also have a bit about the treatment system in a day or so as I am just now writing it, I wanted to get the product produced first. I hope that helps...cheers
