Singapore/Bintan Hotel Recommendations for kids

We are thinking of going to Singapore and Bintan over Easter and would appreciate any recommendations of hotels to stay at that are good for children, our son is nearly 4 years old. Also if anyone could let me know what the weather is likely to be that would be good, i.e. when is the rainy season?

I go to Spore for short stopovers.
4-5 star hotels
-Le Meridian (Orchard Rd)
-Traders (near Orchard Rd)- my favorite
-Holiday Inn Atrium & Holiday Inn Parkview
Hotels around SGD250 range, unless peak period.
For budget hotel, I had used RELC Hotel(1 chinese restaurant, a simple cafe)last yr as I just need a clean, no frills room and this is about SGD120. Take note that the free bfast is simple fare- coffee, tea, bread and noodles. It's about 10 mins to Orchard Rd by taxi, surrounding area is full of lush trees, quiet. The first few floors is a language center.

Singapore is hot & humid (summer) so the best is to wear light & easy clothes.
