Thailand situation

My bf and I already bought tickets flying to Tailand early next month, but we read some news about those bombs in Bangkok right at the new year, that sounded dangerous. We are thinking maybe we should cancel our trip, does anybody know the updates? is it OK if we still go there early next month i.e. Feb 2007?

The way i look at it there are what, 10M people in bangkok, and perhaps a dozen were injured and a couple killed on NY Eve - I bet if you look at any major city on any given day there are probably far more people injured or killed in accidents (car crashes, etc...).

I am heading back to our office this afternoon...
