I would like to move there to learn Spanish (I already speak a good level), just want to know if this place is full of tourists or does one need to speak spanish in order to get by (which is what I prefer, for the whole immersion experience)? Anyone knows?
To be honest, Malaga is just one big tourist destination full of old brits. I would suggest going to either barcelona or madrid where students are more common and I expect you would have much more fun.
Sevilla or Salamanca are great places to live and study Spanish too. I think you would have more fun and learn more in a smaller city. Malaga would be ok, it's a very touristy destination, but the locals are very nice. Grananda is a great option too.
