My friends and I want to explore the Window of the World in Shenzen. We shall be starting from Panyu. Would it be possible to do it in a day's tour? If anyone knows of an English speaking tour guide and/or any travel tip on this matter, I would verily appreciate it. Thank you.
My university gave us a day tour to Shenzhen(some 500+ students) and we went to the other side, Splendid China and there were English-speaking guides and brochures.
They were most willing to show us around.
I think Splendid China and Window of the World belong to the same group, they're next to each other.
Please try to access their website.
A day tour is exhausting, and there are several day shows as well as in the evening, we saw bus loads of people as we were leaving.
I went a long time ago, maybe about 8 yrs ago and we did it in a day. It's a lot of walking. Stay hydrated! we basically walked alot and kept snapping pictures. When i was there, they ddint have any shows. So i dont know what's new there. It also depends when you go. If you go during a high season, surely you'd need more time becuase it's more crowded and when you snap pics you'd be waiting for people to get out of the way.
how much is the admission fee now? When i was there eons ago, they had 3 rates: local mainland chinese rate; tw, hk or macau residents rate; and those from other countries rate. At that time they asked for ID when at the window. Do they still do that now?
Splendid China is that the folk village? If it is, i thought it was a real rip off because there wans't much to see. But then i went 8 yrs ago the same time i went to Window to the World.
