Software :Mandarin - pinyin and/or C.Characters

Is there a software tool that can translate Pinyin to Chinese Characters and the other way around (Char==>Pinyin)?

It's installed on standard microsoft/ check your computer regional / language settings.
Best, ask any of your hongkongese colleague how they do it.
the the phonetic pinyin will become a chinese character (just check which chinese setting you choose).
I use to use it for the transcription of Japanese (romaji to kanji)
