Hi experts, which is the best software for converting a .pdf file into CAD?
last time i entered IO under the command line of CAD to insert the PDF file. but it turned out blur.
also, if i opened the jpg and pasted it directly into the Cad model, it would only show the path when i send the dwg to other.
I would suggest posting on a relavant software related forum such as the Adobe forum (for PDF) http://www.adobe.com/support/forums/index.html or a CAD forum. In terms of only showing the path then I would guess that you need to embed rather than link the file but I have never used and CAD software so I don't really know.
Cad is a vector based program, .pdfs mostly and jpegs- always are raster (image) files. So unfortunately you cannot convert them back into vector based program. You will have to digitize your pdf/jpg files. You can bring these files into cad for reference by using image command. Adobe Illustrator is supposed to bridge this gap between vector-raster based programs through .eps files which can be read by both. Goodluck!
