I have purchased itunes music on my lap top but want to put it to my office pc. When I plug in the ipod on the laptop it tells me it can only connect to 1 registered user, which is the office pc. I don't want to lose any of the purchased music I bought. How can I get all the music to 1 computer and then on the ipod?
Don't understand what you mean?
U have music in iPod or in computer?
What you want to do?
I see that you have music in your laptop
and u want ot have that music in office pc right?
just burn all your music to CD and copy them to your office PC that is not so big deal as I think
and u want to have that music in your iPod just connect it to your computer and upload them
I not see any problem in your situation!!!
iTunes authorizes upto 5 computers for a single account. So yes, you can bring your music on to your office pc through your iPod.
Download iTunes on your pc.
Go to Store and click on Authorize Computer.Sign in etc.
Your pc should start recognizing your iPod.
Make sure you do not sync with your office pc and iPod. Once the dialogue box for your iPod appears, Check on Manual handling only.
For getting the music from your office pc to your iPod as well, it requires transferring files physically to your iTunes folder in your laptop with a pen drive. Sync with your laptop after you have all the songs you need.
Many thanks. I just want to sync them both and I was getting my laptop wanting to erase all my music since I have most of my music on the office pc. I'll try all what you both have said and I'm sure be happy! Cheers
I thought you had most of your stuff on the laptop. So you have to switch what I wrote earlier. I have all my music on my PC as well. When I traveled I downloaded music from some friends on my laptop and now have all that music on my pc. I can also listen to my music thru the laptop- just make sure you don't sync and check the manual option. Goodluck!
Okay here is the fix for this issue. Copy your Itunes folder and burn it on a cd or dvd depending on how big it is. Then uninstall itunes on your office pc delete everything the whole itunes folder it should ask you if you wanna keep it say no. then paste the new one and install itunes on top of it or vice versa. The important thing is to have the same itunes ID so your ipod and itunes think that everything is the same. I personally use other programs since i can just put them on my ipod and use it on any computer.
