Sure - pork ribs (long ones, with meat and bone) --salt and peppper all over, then pack in fresh herbs (thyme, sage, rosemary) and wrap with plastic wrap, refrigerate overnight. Take off the wrap, scrape off the herb twigs, and put in the crockpot WITHOUT adding water or broth. 8-10 hours is good. Then crisp the ribs under a broiler just before serving. Use the drippings to make a gravy, for potatoes. Yum!

Pork chops and Barley.
1 cup of barley on the bottom
4 or 5 pork chops
pour over top, 1 can of crushed tomatoes
fill the empty can with water, add I clove of minced garlic and some oregano, salt and pepper.
pour that over the tomatoes
slice one or two green peppers and lay on the top. cook about 4 hours on high. so tender and the kitchen smells wonderful.

I am a great fan of Colemans casserole mixes. You can pick them up at most P& S shops..so easy! Just stick your meat, vegetables, packet mix with water added and leave in the slow cooker until cooked delicious! Coq au vin, beef stroganoff the only problem is..people always ask for the recipes and then I have to admit that I have cheated...well worth a try.

I bought my slow cooker from Sincere, pretty reasonable too. I tried one of the colemans recipes out last night in it and my hubby loved it.
