Satay sticks
Posted by marypoppins (931 days ago)
Recently in Phuket my kids had some fabulous satay sticks, now for all 3 kids to be eating the same thing was a miracle. I can't seem to find a recipe that even comes close to them, does anyone know what the " special" ingredient might be?

I made satay sticks before. but not sure what kind of satay you ate. Was it chicken, pork,so many types of satay sticks. For south east asian styles, you can combine herbs/spices like cumin, coriander, butter/margarine, garlic,shellot,soysauc,sugar... or sweet soy sauce ( indonesian style ), for western satay stick they use butter/margarine, bbq sauce, honey, teriyaki sauce. for chinese style they use soy sauce, hoisin sauce, etc....
Most of the meats have to be marinated at least few hours/overnight. keep brushing oil/margarine/sauces while you're grilling to avoid dryness. If you like hot, you can add chilli powder while u're grilling it
