i'm looking for someone or somewhere from whom i can learn about the chinese tea culture, mainly prepering of tea (like ganwan or kungfu cha and so on...), and judging of tea quality (what tea to buy, from where and so on...).
There is a shop in Bonham Strand East that sells excellent quality Chinese Tea called Lam Kei Yuen. With Chinese tea you really have to drink alot to know what is the best. Using a gaiwan is very simple. When you buy tea from that shop, they let you sample it and they use gaiwans. You can ask the staff there how to use the gaiwan.
There is also a little tea bar at GREAT in Admiralty called Ming Cha. They have very fine chinese teas and they do offer course... you just have to enquire
