I love Dan Ryan's buffalo wing (or even better Union Pacific's) tangy buffalo wing sauce. I sometimes order it just to dip the celery sticks in the sauce.
Does anyone know where you can buy it or a good recipe on the web (I've searched and there are hundreds -anyone recommend one?)
are you asking for the orangish sauce that covers the wing itself, or for the white creamy sauce? Generally the white creamy sauce is some version of a blue cheese dressing.
We buy 'Anchor Bar' hot sauce from City Super. You have to buy the red-orangey looking sauce. Don't bother with their honey-mustard flavour, it is insipid!
Deep fry your wings at home and when they are ready pour the hot sauce over it and stir the sauce in well, you want your wings well coated.Start with a few spoons of sauce and work your way up, it can get very spicy, very fast!
For the cheese sauce you can buy bottled Blue cheese salad dressing and use that...
Buffalo Wimgs at Dan Ryans was a tradition for us...but we lived across the border in China so i made them at home when we couldn't go to HK.
