I am on my 22nd week of pregnancy and would like to know if attending the prenatal class would really help in preparing me for delivery (hope to go for natural birth).
Where would you recommend that I go to and if you know of any useful sites that I can do more reading up on, it'll be helpful
Annerly Midwives do prenatal classes. Also, if you are having your checkups through the public system, you should be able to arrange classes through the clinic. I know Tsan Yuk run them.
I did the prenatal classes at Adventist Hospital in North Point and I also had my baby there 6 weeks ago. I thought it was very useful and a wonderful hospital to have your baby. You can go to www.hkah.org.hk and check it out.
Thanks both.
I'lll actually be giving birth in Adventist Hospital as well, but I doubt i'd like to go there for prenatal classes as it's too far away for me considering i am staying in Kowloon side now. Know of any perhaps closer to central or kowloon side? when do new mums to be normally have to begin such classes?
Hi..you can get in touch with with yvonne at yvonneheavyside@thefamilyzone.hk..she is very good and i have seen her at matilda too talking to her group moms as shes got a set up there. not sure if she goes to adventist. You can talk to her at 9887 3235 to get more details about her locations. I went to Central and found her extremely good.
