I was wondering if anyone could suggest an English-speaking antenatal class. I live in Tung Chung but work in Central. It's our first child and would prefer classes that weren't extortionate as everything is adding up. I am having a C-section and won't be breastfeeding for medical reasons. Is it still worth going? I mean, i would also like an opportunity to meet other Mums as i am the first in my 'group' of friends to get pregnant. I am 22 weeks at the moment, when do people usually sign-up?
'Matilda International Hospital offers antenatal classes in English. It is a 6 week course, 2 hours per week, and you can now attend classes in the Matilda Medical Centre in Central. The soonest class will be starting from 7 Nov-12 Dec (1930-2130) and you may check the course content through our website www.matilda.org. People usually start the classes from 28 week but you may want to sign up as earliest as you can as the classes are very full. If you require further information, you may contact the Health Education Department on 2849 0357 or health@matilda.org'
Tsan Yuk hospital offers those classes for free. They have English classes every Wed from 6-7:30pm. Call to find out how to register 2589-2100. It's pretty straight forward.
