Hi, I am considering IVF in Singapore. Has anyone heard or tried IVF in Singapore? Any docs to recommend me? Someone has recommended Dr Christopher Chen in Gleneagles Hospital. Not too sure if he is good. Has anyone tried IVF with him?
I really wouldn't recommend Christopher Chen. I saw him for several months and although he has an impressive CV (and ego), I was less than impressed with many aspects of his clinic. I also had two friends who saw him and really regretted it!
In the end I switched to Jothi Kumar at O&G Partners, G/F, Annexe of Gleneagles. He was absolutely lovely and my first IUI was successful with him (didn't need to move on to IVF). O&G Partners comprises three of the top fertility specialists in Singapore who all were working at the University Hospital before setting up private practice together. They have an excellent laboratory (which I think is part-owned by the lead guy, Prof Ng) and the lab is one of the most important things in IVF.
I really recommend O&G - the doctors and nurses are wonderful there, the waiting time is never too long (sometimes waited 3 hrs at C Chen's which never helped my stress levels) and the service is very individualised. (C Chen would see three women simultaneously - flitting between 3 rooms. So even while your appointment was happening, you were kept waiting in the middle of it!)
Hi , i have one failed ICSI (Male infertility) in kuala Lumpur Malaysia last year!!! it took me a year to recovered.
whould like to try in Singapore, as foreigner am i allow to use NUH or KKH the public hospital and what will be the cost.
How about the private hospital : Thompson,Mount Elizabeth and Gleanegle... just hoping the private hospital are not profit driving in the infertility business!!!
I have seen Dr Chris Chen and O&G Partners recently for fertility issues and I would also recommend O&G Partners. To me, both clinics (both are in Gleneagles) are equally gd in this fertility field but I recommend O&G partners for their friendly service and the waiting time is never too long. (you may want to see also an earlier reply posted by honkyblues). I saw Dr Jothi Kumar in O&G partners.
May I know anyone had buy the Neonatal insurance coverage from the day of EMBRYO transfer on day 2 ?
Is it compulsory to buy and is it real they report to MOH on live birth from IVF ?
I know IVF tends to have premature baby or twins and triplets with higher risk of complication in early birth but is it really compulsory to buy the insurance coverage for babies ?
