Viginal discharge

Hi all

This is my first pregnancy. I am 8 weeks pregnant and have seen the heartbeat and everything looks fine ;)

I am worried about viginal discharge. I seem to be having alot. Just whitish / cream colored with no smell. I asked my doc if this was normal and he said it is. Not sure as seems to be alot everyday. Is this normal for 8 weeks. It has been going on for weeks now but not as much as now. Could it be infection ?

if you are itchy, inflamed, painful or uncomfortable down there - it can be an infection.

but normal white discharge is part of the process of being pregnant. It's called leukorrhea and totally normal.

No itch or pain or anything unusual other than lots of it ! something I'll have to get used to a suppose. Just hoping nothing bad that might effect the baby.

If your doc its ok and normal, dont fret...wait until further in the pregnancy and after you give birth...you'll find out all about leaking all over the place! Sigh! Lol.

It's quite normal during pregnancy. However I was concerned about alot of discharge so my doctor did a swab test and found that I had a fungul infection. She gave me some tablets to insert and cream to use externally. It went away. Then later I had more discharge, was a bit itchy but odorless, it was candida (yeast) so Tsan Yuk gave me some inserts 14 days,it went away, felt much better. I You can get tested to make sure it's nothing serious than the normal white discharge which is part of being pregnant.
