Looking for a Nanny

I was wondering how I could find a qualified nanny to help look after my infant daughter. Are there any websites or HK newspapers or magazines I could use? I would rather not use an agency.

Well, unless you know somebody that can intriduce you to a nanny and from there spread the word that you're hiring, it' going to be very difficult to find one without an agency. I am a nanny and trust my agency 100% to find me the right job. It may seems like a lot of money but at least you know who are dealing with (background checked) and if something goes wrong, you have somebody to turn to...Shirley at Rent a mum can help you out if you change your mind. www.rent-a-mum.com

I used to be a Nanny with 12yrs of experience all over the world. The best way I know to find a Nanny or a New employer if you are looking for nanny work is The Lady Magazine. It has agency adverts and private adverts for Nannies, DH's, housekeepers etc. I don't know where you would get this in HK but it is readily available in the Uk and you can subscribe to it overseas. Try www.lady.co.uk

You could also try posting an add on www.nannyjob.co.uk they have overseas jobs on there too.

Experienced professional nanny - English speaking...worked for British/French arisocratic family and former Australian Govenor General family...also for Royal Children Hospital Melbourne...with formal early childhood education and bachelor degrees qualifications (X2)

Available to work around HK central/western district part time between 7am - 2pm...will only accept offers with focus on children interaction and positive developmental practices...no cleaning, cooking etc
