Middle School programs in HK

We have a child who will start Middle school in HK, grade 6 or 7 depending on the school. Although we know we may have to wait for entrance, do you know anything about the quality of the middle school programs at Kellett and HKIS? Our child is Canadian/American. Do you find the children accepting of newcomers? Is the environment academic but welcoming of the children? Is Kellett's MS doing well? I know it's new, but I like that it is small. I'd be grateful for any advice you could offer to me!!

More questions regarding Middle School....
Are the children at Kellet and HKIS accepting of newcomers?
Is the environment friendly and welcoming?
How are the teachers? Can they teach to children who are at differing levels?
Do they stretch the kids without really wearing them out?
Are the kids competive?
Is there a lot of homework? How much?
