It is a pretty new school, unlike other ESF schools, I found it hard to find reports/reputation on this one. Can anyone comment on the school, good or bad. Thank you.
There's a good number of kids in my neighbourhood from that school. Rather foul mouth and unruly I'm afraid. Very little respect for property. I don't know what they are like academically but I'm not impressed with their behaviour and would certainly not like my child to be amongst such ill disciplined lot.
This school is very new. It is not an ESF school. It is what is called a PIS school and is run by ESF Educational Services which is the arm of ESF that was set up to generate income for ESF Schoools. Unlike ESF Schools this is an IB through school eg. 5-18 yrs. The requirement of government was that 80% (not sure of exact % maybe higher) of the students must be permanent residents. Unlike ESF schools fluent English is not a requirement so I would imagine that the number of Chinese speakers in very high. I can't give you any advice on what the school is like so I suggest that you make an appointment and go in and have a look and perhaps contact the PTA to see if you can speak to other parents to get an opinion.
Their English assessment for entrance is a very high standard. The first year they opened, their reputation wasn't so great. There were a number of kids who had been expelled from Shatin College who were admitted. Now, entrance is competitive and their standards are much higher than before. They are very particular about who enters and the IB program is very rigorous and requires a very independent learner. The campus is very nice.
