Can anyone recommend any counselling services (or a professional we could speak to) that my wife, my 7yo son and I could attend to look at improving his behaviour and how we can better deal with it in the family situation.
He is a constant challenge and despite various different approaches we now feel somewhat lost and at our wits-end and do not want our relationship with him to breakdown.
Very much looking forward to someone pointing us in the right direction.
I know of an excellent person who deals with many situations just like yours. Her name is Jadis (Elizabeth) Blurton. www.talhk.com or jadisb@netvigator.com. She's wonderful and many people I know have had their lives and those of their children changed for the better as a result of seeing her.
2869-1962. She's raised 6 children, has taught and lived a full life. Mainy though, I recommend her from personal experience! She has a background in child psychology and is highly recommended by international schools and doctors. The cost per visit is high, but well worth it. I also highly recommend the Supernanny books, mainly the one which has questions and answers in it. It gives you specific details about bedtimes and all the rules you should follow. Jadis is great because she lays things out for you, gives advice quickly and leaves you feeling like you accomplished a lot. Some counsellors just let you talk and talk. She is the best!!
