Posted by minimini (462 days ago)
I got shoulder paint on my left side since i took up a new job 8 months ago. I think it is my job caused me have shoulder pain plus the stress on work. My job needs me sit in front of the PC and typing, almost 8 hours a day. This week the pain even worse and affect my whole left hand...thought i am aa left hander..I did see doctor but doctor just give me pain killer to relieve the pain temporary..I did also see Chinese traditional doctor and get acupuncture treatment, it did reduce the pain but it is not 100% cure....
I wondering what should i do next ? Any suggestion ?

you may go for Bone-Setting which is a traditional Chinese manipulation technique for joints and muscles. I recommend you to visit Quality Chinese Medical Centre. It's number is 28818267 and web site is www.qualitytcm.com

I highly recommend Arden Wong, an Australian trained homeopath using homeopathic remedies as well as other natural remedies to "manage" all kinds of conditions including physical, mental/psychological as well as spiritual. He has done wonders for a lot of people, including myself of course.

Generally speaking, acupuncture is very good at treating shoulder pain. Different acupuncturist may lead to different treatment result, you may like to take a look at :

Such shoulder pain can be debilitating, and worsens. A good chiropractor not only can correct it but teach you how to avoid it.
Orthopaedic will only give you pain killers

Your shoulder problem sounds like a repetitive strain. No matter what kind of treatment you receive, the problem may come back.
You should look into your working environment, i.e. sitting posture and etc., besides seeking for treatment. It is an ergonomic issue.

I do suggest the patient to see a physiotherapist (musculoskeletal / manip therapist) and assess whether the shoulder pain is only localised one or a refer pain from the neck. Usually after assessment, the therapist can find out the root cause of the problem and deal with it.

Dear Alls
Thanks for the useful advise. As I am just seeking the Chinese acupuncture treatment for first time 2 weeks ago, I understand Chinese treatment need to take long time to see the result, so I will continue to see few times first. Also, I have seen a specialist, and took an x ray, the advice from the doctor was my bones are fine, the pain properly caused by the jelly ball touching the nerves. But the doctor said my problem seems not serious. So i took some of his medicines. However, if the problem continue, then i will need to do a special scan x ray to assess the root cause and the position of the pain.

You should search the Net on "adhesive capsulitis". If that's what you've got (I had that a couple of years ago), it will go away in time...took me a year. Meanwhile there's not a whole lot you can do except taking pain killers (if it really bothers you). Important: you should continue to move your shoulder to maintain flexibility. In fact, the more you use it, the better it feels.
