Odourless fart
Posted by Mrs Mwangi (431 days ago)
Hello All
This may sound .....but please share your idea will be appreciated.
The other day I adviced my friend to take plenty of cabbage, fruits, and fresh vegetable salad so as to curb her eating quest as she is expecting in two weeks and she fears she is growing too big(not that am an expert in this part of curbing eating habbits ha ha ha) but she said"since I fart alot it will be smelly" This baffled me as I have heard of this but dint take it seriously.Could someone enlighten me on this theory if its true and how do you make it odourless?

Any change in diet will cause more gas, but the body will adjust to it.

Maybe it's just me: the more vegetables I ate, the louder I farted, but it's much less smelly than if I ate lots of meat. So I have a choice between a loud fart or a smelly one! Hope this helps :-)

Ha-ha, funny thread...
I think it's got somthing to do with a fermentation of stomach acids and certain vegetables. From experience (ha-ha), these vegetables include cabbage and beans.

you know - many cultures consider the fart - smelly and noisy and the combination to be a sign of good health. You SHOULD FART (according to my grandmother) as it releases toxins and it's a sign your digestive tract is working well. I think the Western Diet does have a lot less "fewer" farting foods - but my grandmother says that's because it's a lot less healthy.
bell peppers will get you going as well.

That reminded me: A friend of mine had a major operation (kidney transplant). The next morning, the nurse asked: "Did you pee?"
"Yes."
"Did you fart?"
"Yes."
"Good. Then you're fine. Make sure you fart everday. It means there's no blockage in your digestive tract."
"Burrr..burrr..."
"Oh gosh! I don't mean NOW!"

Everybody produces gas. If you don't fart, you will explode.

OK, this thread has digressed already, so I'll just take it down a bit further!I am a Westerner and I find some local people don't seem to mind farting and particularly burping, but I'm used to people trying to sneak off when they do it or at least say excuse me when they do. We find this very rude indeed!. Anyone have an opinion on this? Don't HK people know that foreigners think they are gross to burp so loudly instead of trying to do it with your mouth slightly closed?

I didn't here local colleagues fart near me but burping is the must.
A friend works at a local school where teachers wear portable microphones in class to "over shout" the class. She says they burp out loud in the microphone :-0

I don't think you will convince them to stop belching because we all know "health" is ever in their mind and expelling pflegm and belching and picking is just something they MUST do.

Dear ????:
Well, since you asked, yes, I've heard several people 'break wind' out loud and in public in Shanghai. (Never women, but several men)
My husband says its quite common at his job site, too.
I grew up with an older brother and his friends teasing me and having farting contests just to TRY and make me scream when we were all 9 and 10 years old, but I will never get used to grown men in suits doing it in public!

Hey guys I have been going through your view and well has given me lots to think about.
When I first moved into Hk, I would hear the locals burp out loud and not seem to feel embaranced nor even say 'excuse me' I thoght n still think this is rude, How are we expected to teach the young ones manner if they see and hear adult behaving differently? Sorry to say but their men need to consider others who dont appreciate it,moreover if the world would be doing it both ways (mouth and back ) What would happen to the air people breath and the environment at large? think about it.heheh
Thanks to all who have gone though this thread I though I was alone in this fart issue.....
