Depending on the accomodation you rent, if you get a normal expat house you should get a tv, oven, fridge. I am sure you can negotiate for other items as well.
I personally have only looked for a replacement fridge - and the landlord paid for it, so I was looking more at capacity, etc., and don't recall the pricing. If you want something I am sure it is available locally - I just don't know the prices. Some innovative web searching might get you some basic info though.
For most peiople the voltage is 220V - it is 110V in remote villages not connected to a national grid.
There are 4 types of connectors is common use: (1) American 2-pin flat; (2) European 2-pin round; (3) European 2-pin + ground; (4) British 13-amp types.
Regardless of what voltage is normally associated with the plug - assume 220V (check a lamp to figure it).
HOWEVER, our problems lie with voltage surges and brown-outs - so please use protectors and UPS on computers and TV's, etc.
