Heading to Ho Chi Minh

My husband is considering an xpat in Ho Chi Minh city. We have two young children and a dog. I would love some information on what it is like there - is it child friendly? Is it safe?

Saigon is very safe. There are some great areas for families with kids - An Phu is one of them. There are many International Schools and quite a few associations for xpats. Most people are pleasantly surprised when visitng Saigon - I'm sure you will be too.

People are kind and friendly and it is very, very easy to meet new people here.

Thanks for the info -it sounds very encouraging.
The prospect of spending some time in Asia is very exciting, and I think it would be an incredible experience for the kids...but it is still rather intimidating!
