bringing pet to vietnam

Hi everyone. I am trying to bring my terrier dog all the way from southamerica into hcmc.It seems to be really difficult, indeed.... Did any of you take a pet via bangkok? Any special recommendations?

Check with the different carriers - rules vary between them. I don't know why Bangkok would be any more difficult than Japan - we brought our cat through Japan last year without a hitch. The airlines put the cat in their "slammer" while we were in transit in Japan and gave it to us as we were leaving. No problems upon arrival in Noi Bai.
