I will be posted to DANANG to work in a week's time. I will be based there for quite sometime. I will bring my laptop along with me. I hope to gain internet access during my private time in my apartment. Can I check which ISP should I go to for internet connection either via normal dial-up or ASDL or broadband ? What is the rates ? Also, is internet connection stable in DANANG ?
Also, do u have any idea what is the rates they charge for either dial-up or ADSL ? In addition, if there is really no internet connection, where else can i possibly find internet cafe easily ?
Do u have any idea which ISP provides the best rates for internet connections in DANANg ? Also, how is it comparable to the internet cafe rates found in Danang ? Most probably, i hope to have my own connection in the comfort in the home. Hope it is not that expensive especially if they do have braodband.
I don't know the rates in Da Nang, but I am sure they are reasonable compared to what you may be used to.
You can be sure, you will be able to find internet cafes almost everywhere! Probably many if not most with ADSL - in Da Nang. I was at Hoi An a couple of month ago (30 minutes outside of Da Nang) and there were internet cafes all over the place.
ADSL here isn't as fast as elsewhere, but it sure beats dialup!
I don't know Da Nang speciifc, but I have been in other smaller towns and there is ADSL available - the telephone/post office is one source. While I like to support local ISPs, you may not have that option - I am not even sure that the various dia-up ISPs are not GOV entities.
The telephone/post office was advertising some deals in the paper recently. The biggest issue on ADSL is if the lines are available where you live. It took several months for it to become availble where I live in Ha Noi.
