really ultra old school motorbikes

hi all

seen some really really really old school motorbikes in saigon, normally suzukis, dont really know how to describe them other than OLD!

black fuel tank, big gap under the tank between the wheel and the engine

anyone know what one of these would cost? i think a respray and they would look kinda cool in a retro way

Burt - (sorry for hijacking your thread M!, by the way M I think you're referring to the Minsk 's too - check out www.minskclubvietnam.com, you can pick up these bikes from $150 - $600 very much depending on the quality.) I'm back from beginning of October and counting down the days, got some stuff to take care of in UK first. Whats your email so I can give you a shout when I arrive?

Damn you people with good memories to hell! Yes, BHB, I have gone the way of the Minsk, although it is out of necessity rather than desire to pollute the air. I am spending a lot of time in the mountainous provinces so have a Minsk for out there and have retained the more enviro friendly wave for in Hanoi. When are you moving back anyway?

If its followed by a massive trail of smoke, its more than likely a Minsk. I just picked up a new-to-me one in Hanoi, with new everything (inc spay job) for 500 USD (inc the ultra cool headlight). Some say this is far too much for a Minsk, but it has literally been rebuilt and the mechanic is very honest.
Not sure what the really, really old school ones are - but some with the ones with side cars are worth a look.
