I am interested in taking a course in Vietnamese cookery classes from a reputable teacher/chef (at a teaching centre or other outside venue ie. not at my home.) I am working here so it would have to be either on a weekday evening or ideally on Sat afternoon.
Anyone have any ideas on where to go or who to contact? I have done a search on this forum thinking this might be a common request but no luck.
Many thanks,

Hi again, I cam across this by change on the net. Might be of some use... [» The Woman's Culture House in Saigon is a popular place for expats to learn Vietnamese cooking. Unfortunately, I don't know where it is, but a recent article in the local English language paper said that most travel services in HCMC can point you in the right direction. The article also pointed out that you may need an interpreter.

I've not heard of any but an idea might just be to get in touch with nice (dpending on your budget!) restaurants in HCMC directly and discuss your requirements with them.
Hi,
Has anyone found any success in locating cooking classes in HCM? I will be in HCM in 2wks and would like to attend vietnamese cooking classes also.
you can also try the 5-star hotels here as most of them regularly hold a cooking class for foreigners who's interested in learning how to cook local food. Once you get here you can easily contact them & get yourself into the class.
