Can anyone please advise the best way to go about getting an english teaching job in Hanoi. I have a degree, but but none of the CELTA courses.

Try Apollo, Mai School, UNESCO English school, new star, language link, few english language schools in old quarter. No contacts for you - have to do a bit of detective work. I taught at some of the above with same quals as you.
