CDs into Vietnam

I am a music lover and I'm a bit scared by the extortionate duty to be pain on my prized cd collection which I feel unable to cope without right now. How can I get these into the country without paying a fortune in tax? Is there an allowance? Can I take them in my baggage as opposed to shipping them? If anyone has any advice please help me, I'm stressed.

Dont worry!! You can bring your cds, it depends on how much, I bring them along all the time. But that is only about 25 cd.

A friend of mine was charged a small fortune in taxes bringing in his collection abut 3 years ago. I lost a load on the way back from Europe about 7 years ago, during a bungle at customs.

Leave them at home and buy them again when you arrive. Although its unlikely you will pay duty, copies are dead cheap.
