hi all

tell me, what sort of taxation rates can i expect to pay in VN?

I may be moving there before the end of the year...

Depending on what your plannning on doing, you may not be taxed.... unofficially of course.

I worked at a 'dodgy' school teaching english and wasnt taxed. When I moved to a better, more established and legit school I had to pay tax. I was earning about 1000USD and paid 40USD tax per month...

Vietnam progressive Personal Income Tax (PIT) rates applicable to foreigners are as follows -

Gross (VND'000) Tax Rate
To 8,000 0%
To 20,000 10%
To 50,000 20%
To 80,000 30%
To 120,000 40%
Above 120,000 50%
