don't worry Priya. It's great for kids - nanies are gentle, and schools are good. There is also a bign Indian expat community, so it's a fun place o be. But like Tot said, you need to have a reasonable salary - it's not a cheap city to live in.

I would agree. Vietnam is not the back of beyond. There are good docs, good schools, and there are no unique tropical diseases / germs that you would not find in India (I'm assuming you are Indian, sorry if I'm wrong). Just chill and enjoy.

Thanks for your responses,Tot and Lotus. Any specific vaccinations that a newborn needs to be given before entering the country? Which is the preferred international school for 5 yrs and above?

Thankyou Marlene, but we won't be moving until much later this year. I'm sure an english speaking babysitter with references will be snapped up before you can say Ho Chi minh!! All the best.
