Heading to Ho Chi Minh

Hi,

I am an Aussie living in Hong Kong. Heading to Ho Chi Minh on Saturday for 4 days with my parents & wife. Was due to fly back to HK on Tuesday night but have found myself with more free time than expected. I can change my flight date but will still have to fly out of Ho Chi Minh but am wondering where to go for an extended 3 or 4 days. Any suggestions of nice places (beach/culture/markets) would be appreciated. Would like to do it on a budget so travel by train/bus would probably be best.

Thanks Nam Guy. I have 4 days in Ho Chi Minh with family so am sure we can keep busy. After that I have the 3 or 4 days by myself. Is Delat worth the trip for a few days or are there other cheap options. Don't mind getting off the beaten track & roughing it a little. Would be good if there are back packer areas or places with other travellers that I could hang out with.

lot of crime. be careful. do not go out after 11 pm to bars.
