Teaching English in Vietnam

Hi,

I'm a 27 year old American guy currently living in Hong Kong. I currently work in finance but am looking for a change and am thinking about moving to Vietnam (preferrably HCMC) to teach English for a year or two.

I've only been to HCMC once but absolutely loved it and thought it would be a great place to live. I just wanted to find out what it's like for an expat to live there. I'm assuming you can get by on not too much money? Do most expats enjoy their time in HCMC?

If any of you are over there teaching English I'd be really interested in any advice/opinions you have to offer.

I have never lived in HCMC, but loved Ha Noi!!!

Look into specializing - teaching English to business people for example. The income should be a tad better than straight English teacher at a normal language center.
