Recommends Needed - Salon, Restaurants

Hi,

I've just moved to Saigon from Sydney and have a few questions that I would love some help on (mainly girly stuff).

1) Where is the best place to get my hair done. I have blonde hair and get it tinted (with foils normally) every 6 weeks. Where do you suggest I go?

2) Is there any solariums that are reputable?

3) I am living in Phu My Hung - any good recommendations for eating out etc?

There is a hair dresser / salon on Le Than Ton, near number 15, called VINH. Very good, caring service - 7 days a week.

There are many good, reasonably priced restaurants. Pho 2000 is good (Pho 24 have health / hygene issues in their central kitchen on Hai Ba Trung - my husbands office overlooks the top floor kitchen that runs 24 hours daily).

Com Ga Cali, 248 Pasteur, Q3 (just above Vau Thi Sau) - very good service and quality food. ANother very special place is Bistro 48 / Tien An 48, 48 Le Thi Reng - superb service coupled with fine foods and even wine - all for a very moderate price.

At Ben Thanh Market, on the right - rear corner, after 18.00H you will find SaiGon Quan which has a delectible BBQ in foil whole fish for around USD$3 - vegetables extra.

HCMC has food inspectors so this type of outside food (restaurant) is clean and prepared in hygenic conditions.

When you get fed up with noodles there is always KFC!
