I have been offered a job in HCMC, but I would like to have some information before taking my decisition:
· The PIT rates, are they aplicable progressivily by levels of monthly income or the tax to apply to the whole income is that corresponding to your specific level ?
· They have told me that I will not have to pay any social charge but I read something about a 5% for "Social Insurance" and 1% for "Health Insurance", both calculated over the global income.
· What is a 'normal' comission to send funds to Europe ?
· They offer me 2000$/month to pay the house. What kind of house will I find for this money?.
Could anybody help me with these questions?.
The project is really good, and all I read about the country is wonderful, but I will be moving my family, including a new born baby, and I do not want to take to much risks.
Being tax exempt I don't know about PIT - other than knowing that the tax authorities are especially "interested" in getting their due.
Why not have your pay deposited directly in your European account? There are cash machines readily available in Ha Noi (where I am) and I am sure equally so in HCMC.
Re housing. One can get a really nice house expensively and one can get a really nice house cheaply in Ha Noi. I assume it is the same in HCMC. You won't get a palace for $2000, but you should be able to find a very acceptable place for less than $2000. Do some internet research - you might find lots of info on-line.
Why not make a quick trip to HCMC and check it out? A small investment as I see it, if you currently have a good job and risk giving up a lot.
2000USD can be enough for a good house in HCMC for all your family. If you have a new-born baby, I guess you should live in a building with high security. I sent you more details about this in the message to your inbox.
