Hi all! Does anyone know whether the juridical responsibilities of expatriates, who are working in Hong Kong either as a managing director or a general manager, differ from each other? Are there any differences between these two positions? e.g. in taxation of bonuses, rewards, commissions, i.e. what is counted as taxable income?
I have tried to find the information with no significant results, and thus would be very happy if someone could help me in this.
I believe the HK tax is a graduated scale and tax liability is based on income level of each person, not position. As for bonus rewards and commissions, I beleive they are also subject to tax.
