I submitted my application for employment visa about a month ago with all the documents required. However, I recieved a letter from HKIMM that further documents,eg. past employment contracts, tax records, bank statments and salary record etc...to be further submitted. I've been travelling for the past 1 year and have no habit of keeping these records. I am very reluctant to call my old employers to ask for my files.
Will this affect my chances of getting the employment visa here? Honestly, any advice will be very much appreciated.
Why did YOU submit the application? Isn't it supposed to be lodged by your prospective employer on your behalf? Anyway, if Immigration is asking for the records it must be for a reason and my guess is it's something to do with your suitability for the position and whether it needs to be filled by a non-local. If you don't have the records they are asking for you have only one option - to get back to them with the reasons why. They can then decide on the next step.
